Certified Millwright - 6 Month Contract

Job Description:

Join our team that shares your Passion & Heart for Canadian agriculture! Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Certified Millwright for our Milling division based in Halifax, NS.

Requirements:

• Journeyman/Red Seal trades certification as Millwright
• Experience in fabricating and welding
• Able to work in environments subject to dust allergens and higher temperatures as well as in all outside weather conditions
• Understanding and working knowledge of quality control practices and procedures as per BRCGS regulations
• Physically fit with the ability to safely lift 25kg
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Dependable with the ability to work with an on-call schedule
• Previous experience which include elevators, conveyors, rotary valves, compressors, blowers, fans, grinders, electric motors, gearboxes, and filtration equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Working knowledge of CMMS
