Farm Hand

Job Description:

As a Farm Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of Saunders Farm. Working closely with the Operations Manager and other team members, you will contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for farm visitors. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks that help maintain the farm’s attractions, facilities, and guest services. Site maintenance involving all attractions.

• Fixes and general repairs around the farm
• Ensure that the proper safety equipment is worn and used at all times
• Understand the equipment in each area, and how to fix common problems
• Ensure if anything is broken or not in working order, it is fixed by the correct person in a timely manner
• Helping with planting, weeding, and inspections to maintain and ensure a quality crop and harvest
• Upkeep of all mazes, including trimming, upkeep of games and structures inside the mazes
• Perform other duties and assigned tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, in various weather conditions, including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Previous customer service experience, especially in a fast-paced environment, is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with visitors and team members.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety standards and guest satisfaction.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to contribute to a fun and energetic atmosphere.
• Must be available full-time, Monday-Friday until September.
